Terms of Service

Effective July 1, 2026. These Terms govern your use of the JustFold platform (“JustFold”, “we”, “us”, “our” ), including our mobile app and website. By creating an account or placing an order you agree to these Terms.

The short version

  • • JustFold folds your clean laundry — we do not wash it.
  • • You subscribe monthly and use credits to schedule pickups. 1 credit = 1 load up to 30 lbs.
  • • Unused credits roll over for 3 months and stay usable for 6 months after you cancel.
  • • Every order includes $300 insurance at no extra cost.
  • • You have 48 hours after delivery to raise a dispute; orders auto-confirm after 24 hours.
  • • Providers are independent contractors, not JustFold employees.
  • • Contacting a provider to arrange service outside the app violates these Terms.

1. About the Service

JustFold is a two-sided marketplace that connects customers who want their laundry folded with vetted local providers who perform the folding. Our service covers pickup, folding, and delivery only. We do not wash, dry-clean, or otherwise launder garments.

To use the service, customers must supply clean, washed, dry laundry. JustFold and its providers accept no responsibility for items that are soiled, wet, or require washing before folding.

The service is currently available in Houston and Sugar Land, Texas. Service areas may expand over time — check the Service Areas page for the latest coverage.

Standard turnaround is 24 hours from pickup. Express turnaround (12 hours) is available where noted and may carry an additional fee.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States to create a JustFold account. By registering you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

Access to the service depends on your address falling within an active service area. We reserve the right to limit or decline service in areas where we do not yet operate or where provider capacity is insufficient.

3. Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@justfold.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

Each account is personal and non-transferable. You may not create accounts on behalf of another person without their explicit consent. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe have been compromised.

4. Subscription Plans & Credits

JustFold operates on a subscription model. You choose a monthly plan that includes a set number of credits. One credit covers one complete service — pickup, folding, and delivery — for a load up to 30 lbs of clean laundry. Loads exceeding 30 lbs will use additional credits, which you will be shown before confirming your order.

Rollover: Unused credits carry forward for up to 3 months while your subscription remains active.

After cancellation: Credits earned before cancellation remain usable for 6 months after your subscription ends. Credits that expire are forfeited with no cash value.

Subscriptions renew automatically on your billing date. We will send a reminder before renewal. You can cancel at any time through the app — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you will not be charged again.

We reserve the right to adjust subscription pricing with at least 30 days’ notice. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new price.

5. Placing and Managing Orders

Orders are placed through the JustFold app. When you schedule a pickup you select a 2-hour arrival window and may add special instructions. You will receive confirmation and real-time tracking once a provider accepts your order.

Your laundry must be clean and dry before pickup. The provider will collect it at your door — you do not need to be present if you leave it in a designated, accessible location and note this in your order instructions.

Folded laundry is returned within 24 hours of pickup. After delivery, you have 24 hours to review and confirm or raise a dispute. Orders auto-confirm after 24 hours with no action required on your part.

To cancel a scheduled order without using a credit, cancellations must be made at least 2 hours before the pickup window begins. Cancellations made within 2 hours of pickup may result in credit forfeiture at our discretion.

6. Items We Can and Cannot Service

JustFold folds everyday clothing and household textiles, including:

  • Shirts, pants, shorts, and casual wear
  • Undergarments and socks
  • Towels, washcloths, and bed linens
  • Light sweaters and knitwear

We cannot service items that:

  • Require dry cleaning, pressing, or special washing treatment
  • Are soiled, wet, or malodorous
  • Are hazardous or contaminated in any way
  • Require steaming, ironing, or mending
  • Are high-value or irreplaceable without adequate insurance coverage

Providers may decline to fold items at their discretion if they reasonably believe an item does not meet these requirements. In that case the item will be returned and the credit refunded.

7. Providers — Independent Contractors

JustFold providers are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or partners of JustFold. JustFold provides the platform that connects you with providers; it does not direct or control the specific manner in which providers fold laundry.

All providers are required to complete JustFold’s onboarding process, which includes identity verification, a background check, and training to JustFold folding standards before they may accept orders. Providers must maintain a minimum rating and comply with our conduct standards to remain active on the platform.

Providers earn 65% of the service fee for each completed order. JustFold retains 35% as a platform fee to cover operations, insurance, and support. Provider payouts are processed weekly via Stripe, subject to a $50 minimum balance.

If you are applying to become a provider, additional terms in the Provider Agreement — provided during onboarding — also apply to you.

8. Payments & Billing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing you authorize JustFold to charge your payment method on file on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.

Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law. If a payment fails, we will attempt to collect it up to three times before suspending your account. Suspended accounts retain credits during a 7-day grace period to allow payment resolution.

You are responsible for any applicable taxes on purchases made through the platform. JustFold will collect and remit sales tax where legally required.

9. Disputes & Refunds

If you are not satisfied with a completed order, you may raise a dispute within 48 hours of delivery through the app. After 48 hours the order is considered confirmed and cannot be disputed.

When reviewing disputes we may request photographs of the returned laundry and other supporting information. If we determine the service was not performed to JustFold standards, we will issue a credit refund or, at our discretion, a complimentary re-fold at no additional credit cost.

Chargebacks initiated with your bank or card issuer without first contacting JustFold support may result in account suspension pending investigation.

10. Insurance & Coverage

Every JustFold order includes Basic Insurance at no additional cost, covering loss or damage to your items up to $300 per order.

Claims must be reported through the dispute process within 48 hours of delivery. Coverage does not apply to pre-existing damage, items excluded from our service (see Section 6), or items whose value was not adequately covered by the selected tier. JustFold reserves the right to seek reimbursement from the provider where damage is attributable to provider negligence.

11. Off-Platform Transactions

Arranging laundry folding services directly with a JustFold provider outside of the platform — or accepting such an arrangement as a provider — is a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate account termination.

The platform introduces customers and providers, processes payments securely, provides insurance coverage, and resolves disputes. Off-platform transactions bypass all of these protections for both parties.

If a provider solicits you to transact directly, please report it to support@justfold.app. If you are a provider who receives such a request from a customer, report it through the app.

12. Ratings & Reviews

After each completed order, both customers and providers may leave a rating (1–5 stars). Ratings must be honest and based on actual experience. We reserve the right to remove ratings that are fraudulent, abusive, or otherwise violate our community guidelines.

Providers whose ratings fall below our minimum threshold may be temporarily suspended or permanently removed from the platform. Customers who receive consistently low ratings from providers may also have their access reviewed.

13. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent order information
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against providers or other users
  • Attempt to circumvent the platform’s payment or rating systems
  • Create multiple accounts to abuse promotions or bonus credits
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the platform’s operation
  • Use the service to transport or conceal illegal items

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination, forfeiture of credits, and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.

14. Privacy

Your use of the platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information — including location data, address details, payment information, and app usage. By using JustFold you consent to those practices.

15. Intellectual Property

The JustFold name, logo, app, and website — including all software, design, text, and graphics — are owned by or licensed to JustFold and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

By submitting ratings, reviews, or other content through the platform, you grant JustFold a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the service.

16. Disclaimers

THE JUSTFOLD PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time. Provider availability depends on local supply and may vary. JustFold is not responsible for delays caused by weather, traffic, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Because providers are independent contractors, JustFold does not warrant the quality of any specific folding outcome beyond the dispute resolution and insurance protections described in Sections 9 and 10.

17. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, JUSTFOLD’S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL SUBSCRIPTION FEES YOU PAID IN THE 3 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) $100.

IN NO EVENT WILL JUSTFOLD BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations. If they apply to you, some or all of the above limitations may not apply and you may have additional rights.

18. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JustFold, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

19. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Fort Bend County, Texas, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.

You agree to resolve disputes with JustFold individually and waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will notify you by email or through an in-app notice at least 14 days before the new Terms take effect. Your continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you may cancel your subscription before the effective date — your credits will remain usable through the grace period described in Section 4.
